It's 2 AM and you just want to watch a video on your phone and lay in bed. But suddenly, some alpha in front of a supercar says you aren't living right, you need to make more money, your life sucks. 

In the first 5 seconds of the advertisement, you've seen expensive watches, supercars, yachts, models, islands and many more things you haven't ever experienced. 

You look around and hear the guys voice laughing at your shitty 1 bedroom apartment. And it keeps happening over and over. 

If you've ever looked up information on money, business, or self-improvement, it's likely that you've come across advertisements for "free training" from gurus who are on camera talking to you.

But none of these Gurus are trying to impart any knowledge on you.

Instead, they want to make you dependent on their "goods" and "wisdom". To convince you to use your credit card, making them richer while you fall further into debt or poverty.

Everyone will assure you that by simply following their formula, you can quickly and easily generate money — $2,000–$5,000 per month, or $300 per day! If the buzz is to be believed, you can quickly become a millionaire by taking up a few easy and quick side jobs. 

I've read a ton of blog entries about it, and seen a ton of videos and tweets about it. And I'm sure you've seen some too.  

It's not straightforward, quick, or easy for beginners to establish a successful side business, which is a cold, hard fact you don't want to hear. 

I've come to realize the "side hustle" is actually 

And other people are realizing that as well. The secret words: "info product". It's what they call the video tutorial 

 that will cost you an arm and a leg, and won't make you rich instantly. 

How to make money on the internet is free to learn.

The "magic formula" seems to be consistency, patience and luck. Of course leaning into what you like and are good at helps, and so does being lucky.

If you actually research "info product sales, conversions" you will see how people discuss selling the dream of getting rich. 

You basically sell how to get to Point A (shitty 1 bedroom apartment) to Point B (a yacht party).

They discuss how to make enough money to be financially independent, travel the world, be your own boss, and live life to your own terms. 

"You only need to register in the link below for a free training!". 

The purpose of their advertisement is to captivate the audience by evoking strong 

. They take advantage of weak individuals' desperate fantasies to get them to click on the link to their "free training."

You will then be directed to a pre-recorded webinar, which typically lasts 1-3 hours.

These webinars are designed to tap into your emotions on a deeper level by connecting with you, the audience. They can offer you their sob tale about how they once found themselves in a similar situation to yours, working a job they detested and caught up in the "rat race."

In essence, they make every effort to sound like they once found themselves in your, the viewer's, current predicament. And if they used Social Media marketing properly, they were able to draw in the right demographic of individuals who were stupid enough to believe that their course would lead to financial freedom.

They then alter your perspective to suit them. The Guru aims to rewire your attitude during this webinar in order to their advantage.

This is significant because the Guru has just taught you that money is abundant, exactly before he reveals the price of his course, university or whatever he calls his scam. 

They continue by asserting that you must be willing to put in the effort. 

As a result, you are informed that your achievement is your own responsibility.

This is to make sure that if you purchase their course and it is unsuccessful, you are not attributing blame to them. You're led to believe that your failure is solely your responsibility.

Here is where the big money comes in for them: 

 They start the hard sell by distributing several fictitious 

 from former students who purport to describe how they became wealthy as a result of purchasing their course.

 They portray starting a business and finding success in a particular area as being really simple. You are informed that you don't require any prior experience, technological know-how, goods, personnel, etc. 

You are more inclined to purchase their course if they can make it seem easier to become wealthy.

 They instill a false sense of scarcity if their audience is still reluctant to shell out money for a training.

The webinar participants are warned by the Gurus that they would lose out on a chance that could change their lives if they don't act right away.

In order to ensure they won't miss out on these fictitious "extra incentives," the guru will urge viewers to pull out their bank card and beat a phony countdown clock at the top of the screen.

When there is actually no shortage at all. Nothing but a lie.

A scammy world: Stop falling for false promises.

Scams involving side jobs thrive because people are naturally optimistic. According to the number of views on some of these articles and videos, there is still a sizable audience for side hustle frauds even after years of unethical marketing. 

On the other hand, I hate the fact that so many individuals abuse optimism and faith by persuading you to invest your time, money, and resources into these frauds. 

Internet education can be a great instrument for learning new practical skills. However, these courses won't achieve a crazy instant dream or get you to suddenly generate thousands of dollars "on the side".

The online courses I'm considering are those that you can buy for a few dollars here and there or are even free. To learn online, you don't have to go bankrupt or rack up debt. EdX, Udemy or even Google offer those courses. 

The internet has just made it way easier to learn and do things, but it didn't invent a hack for life itself.
