All 435 seats in the House of Representatives are up for grabs, as well as 35 of the 100 seats in the Senate.

As of now, the Democrats have been in the comforts of a total political monopoly, controlling the US Congress and the White House.

But the results of the midterm elections will still demonstrate if former President Trump can still influence the Republican Party by electing his hand-picked candidates to office.

Trump is being investigated for taking official documents from the White House to his Florida home in Mar-a-Lago, after he left office. 

As well as for the way these records were kept, and who might have had access to them.

When brought in for an interview as part of the civil inquiry, Mr. Trump just acknowledged his name and declined to answer any questions.

The complaint seeks $250 million, which was allegedly acquired through dishonest ways, and claims that the family inflates their net worth by billions. 

Additionally, it is requesting a number of sanctions, including a ban on Mr. Trump and his children holding executive positions in any New York-based companies.

Several federal government agencies are looking into Mr. Trump's alleged involvement in the assault on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, when a mob of his followers attacked the Capitol in a bid to halt Joe Biden's election victory.

The congressional committee investigating into Mr. Trump's behavior has been the most prominent. 

They have been holding live broadcast hearings to present their argument that the riot was directly sparked by his allegations of election fraud.

After these sessions, the committee issued a formal summons requiring Mr. Trump to appear in person and submit supporting documentation.

The Justice Department is conducting a separate criminal investigation into events of January 6 and larger attempts to rig the election, although this is mainly under wraps. The scope of Mr. Trump's targeting is unclear despite the fact that it is the largest police investigation in US history.

Trump has denied any involvement in the incident.

Although the congressional panel, which is made up of seven Democrats and two Republicans, has the authority to bring charges, Mr. Trump may be charged with a crime if he ignores their formal summons.

If Mr. Trump declines to appear before Congress or provide the necessary information, the committee may submit the case to the Department of Justice, which may result in legal action.

Hundreds of those who stormed the Capitol have already been charged as a result of the justice department's criminal investigation.

State prosecutors are investigating potential attempts from Trump to rig the 2020 presidential election.

In regard to the amount of ballots required to secure him victory in the battleground state, Mr. Trump 

 during the phone call to Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, "I just want to find 11,780 votes."

Although it is unknown if the former president is directly under investigation, it is clear that several of his associates are involved in the probe. 

Investigations are reportedly looking at alleged misleading claims made to lawmakers in Georgia as well as possible criminal activity in calls made to government officials there.

However, prosecutors would ultimately need to demonstrate beyond a reasonable doubt that individuals involved knew their conduct were fraudulent in order to secure a criminal conviction.

It's difficult to predict what will happen with all of the lawsuits, but it does not look like an easy road ahead. 

There's also no doubt that it will take a toll on his image. 

During these past months, Trump has not seemed to be decisive factor this far, and if the midterm elections don't boost his momentum, his potential 2024 Presidential run could be in jeopardy. 

Although he continues to be regarded as the most influential Republican in the nation and the majority of the primary candidates he supported still prevailed, a dozen high-profile defeats in close contests have raised questions about whether his star power is still as potent as it once was.

Trump's problems are made worse by the fact that many of the candidates he supported for the House and Senate are seen as 

 to the GOP's attempts to win both chambers. Trump is already hampered by numerous investigations.

Some of the candidates that Trump has backed, include Herschel Walker, who has been accused for using violence in previous relationships and for hiding some of his children. 

In the closing stages of the midterm election, President Biden and former President Trump addressed different rallies in Pennsylvania.

Given that both Biden and Trump have low favorability ratings in Pennsylvania, the late-campaign rallies aim to boost base turnout on both sides.

Biden presided over a crowded event at Temple University. Former President Obama, who was the event's star attraction, delivered the rowdy crowd's closing address. 

Biden stated it was time to end MAGA led by a "defeated president".

A few hours later, in western Pennsylvania, Trump focused on the FBI, election officials, and the media while arguing against the Democratic Party's leftist policies.

In his opening remarks, he mostly addressed border security and criminality in addition to his personal fights. Stopping the invasion at our southern border is the most critical responsibility for the future of our nation, according to Trump.

So it seems, attacks on both ends remain the final political push, but with one difference. 

Trump's momentum might be dying, and the Democrats are rallying up again. Could they give a surprise, and maybe final, blow to Trump?
